Latest figures revealed that since Daniel Andrews and Labor came into government, the number of services delivered on time has deteriorated significantly on the Cranbourne, Frankston and Pakenham railway lines.
Since November 2014, the number of services delivered on time fell by 9.4 percent on the Cranbourne Line, 6.1 percent on the Pakenham Line and 2.1 percent on the Frankston Line.
Daniel Andrews inherited a punctual and reliable public transport system from the Liberal Government in 2014, with an average of 94.3 percent of services on time along railway lines in the South East.
That has now deteriorated to just 91.4 percent in four years under the Andrews Labor government.
Percentage of Services Delivered on Time
Such an unreliable rail network means more time waiting for trains and less time at home with family and friends.
Only a Liberal Nationals Government has a plan to ease the strain on our public transport network, so you can spend more time doing what’s important.
Daniel Andrews’ band-aid approach won’t cut it and that’s why we are offering a clear choice at the state election.
Comments attributable to Member for South-East Metro Region, Inga Peulich MLC:
“Daniel Andrews has failed to provide a reliable and punctual public transport network, and commuters in the South-East are feeling the strain.”
“Commuters should not tolerate more of the same service disruptions that have encroached on their lives under the Andrews Labor Government.”
“The Liberal Nationals have a comprehensive plan to manage the strain on our public transport, so that commuters have the better, faster and reliable services they need.”
