The rise comes follows a 61% jump in arson, a 35.4% rise in robbery, 28.1% hike in dangerous acts, 20% increase in blackmail and extortion, 17.7% surge in assaults, a 17% jump in drug manufacture, an alarming 15.5% increase in sexual offences and a 15.4% jump in abductions.
Crime in Monash is up 24.1% since the election of the Andrews Government in November 2014.
Labor’s cuts to police numbers and station hours, along with weaker bail laws are having a disastrous impact.
