The rise comes on the back of a 94.7% jump in arson, a 58.5% rise in sexual offences, 57.1% hike in public nuisance offences, 40.8% increase in drug manufacture, 40% increase in blackmail and a 39.1% increase in robbery.
Labor’s failure to commit to extra police to meet the needs of a growing population and ‘soft on crime’ policies are having a disastrous impact. The Coalition promised 750 extra police if returned to government.
