The current building in Southern Road Reserve is no longer able to cater for the growing demand of the local area.
“The Andrews Labor Government must come to the table and commit to funding this much anticipated pre-school,” Ms Peulich said.
“The proposed early learning facility will provide a much needed service where teachers are able to provide learning links across all age groups.”
There will be 66 kindergarten places available in the new facility which will provide a number of different early childhood services, staff amenities and consultation rooms in a flexible community friendly design.
“It will be a one-stop spot for parents bringing their children to further their educational needs and consult with service providers,” Ms Peulich said.
Ms Peulich is calling on the State government stop neglecting the early learning sector and to respond positively to the application from Kingston City Council for this much needed facility.
