Labor’s tax grab will lead to even higher household bills, higher taxes, more crime and congestion, that will remain for years to come.
Under Daniel Andrews, the annual Victorian state tax take has increased by $6.2 billion. This represents a 35% tax increase, making Victoria the highest taxing state in Australia.
Labor passed and implemented twelve new taxes, and households are feeling the pressure of rapidly increasing costs of living.
The City of Greater Dandenong may have received commitments to long overdue projects, but residents and families living Greater Dandenong, living in mortgage stressed postcodes, recording rising crime rates, miss out yet again.
Andrews’ budget has turned a blind eye to the climbing crime rate in Greater Dandenong. There is no funding for opening new police stations or re-opening stations closed by Labor, putting households and families at greater risk.
The Andrews government has also failed our faith and multicultural communities as there is not one new dollar for Greater Dandenong’s many Catholic and Independent schools.
Quotes attributed to South Eastern Metropolitan MP, Inga Peulich MLC:
“There is nothing in the Daniel Andrews’ state Labor budget to help Greater Dandenong residents and their families to get ahead.”
“Labor’s tax grab will lead to even higher household bills, higher taxes, more crime and congestion, that will remain for years to come.”
“Education reform is desperately needed to ensure our children are getting a 21st-century education, but this budget confirms Labor’s lurch further to the left, desperate to brainwash children rather than educate them.”
“Greater Dandenong residents will continue to feel the pressure of increased taxes and rapidly increasing costs of living as the result of Labor’s dud budget.”
