The rise comes on the back of an alarming 32.5% jump in robbery, a 20% rise in homicide, and 15.7% leap in drug dealing.
Despite Victoria's population growing by 100,000 people each year, the Andrews Labor Government went to the election without promising any extra police, and none have been included in the State Budget or four year forward estimates. Denis Napthine promised 750 extra police if the Coalition was returned.
