Ms Peulich said that Labor’s secretive and unpredictable methods of governance meant that this highly important announcement was nowhere to be found on the Premier’s website, instead being tucked away on the less-visited website of the State Revenue Office.
“This announcement should not be taken lightly. Monash job-seekers should hold Daniel Andrews’ promise to deliver 100,000 full-time jobs to account,” Ms Peulich said.
“Official figures suggest that only fewer than 12,100 full-time places have been supported by Labor’s failed employment scheme state-wide, following almost two years of incompetent governance.”
“The scheme has been tanked after costing $40 million of its pledged $100 million, delivering no more than 108 jobs in the City of Monash.”
Furthermore, the Liberal Nationals Coalition has provided crucial evidence of serious rorting of the tens of millions already spent, while $60 million still remains unaccounted for.
“The Coalition will call on the Auditor-General to hold Daniel Andrews to account by seeking a full investigation into the unaccounted $60 million of taxpayer’s money and whether the neglected scheme has met all probity standards,” Ms Peulich said.
Daniel Andrews has failed the people of Monash, dishonestly abandoning his own election promise and ultimately, wasting the money of hard-working Monash taxpayers.
