Applications are now open for the 2010/11 Victorian Veterans Council Grants Program which includes the ANZAC Day Proceeds Fund and the Victorian Veterans Fund.
The Veterans Council Grants Program provides support to the veteran community through the funding of a range of welfare support, commemorative and education initiatives.
Inga Peulich, State Member for South Eastern Metropolitan Region and Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Communities said grants of up to $50,000 are available through two funding streams.
“I invite ex-service organisations, local government and not-for-profit community organisations to apply for these grants,” Ms Peulich said.
“Projects funded under these grants will increase the capacity of the veteran community to honour the service and sacrifice of veterans.”
The Veterans Council Grants Program is distributed by the Victorian Veterans Council, an independent statutory body that comprises representatives of the veterans community.
